All the talk about needing to adapt to hostile New Zealand conditions should take a back seat for the visiting Bangladesh team when they take on the hosts in the second and potentially series-saving Test at the Basin Reserve in Wellington from today.

Following a run of poor form after being brought into the ODI side as a replacement during the Asia Cup, Soumya Sarkar was dropped from the Bangladesh team for the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe last year.

Bangladesh got off to a promising start but could not make the most of it as they folded for just 234 runs, despite a resplendent Tamim Iqbal century, in the first innings of the first Test against New Zealand in Hamilton yesterday.
