At the Amar Bhashar Chalachitra festival (DUFS), organised by the Dhaka University Film Society, the Hiralal Sen Award 1432 was presented to filmmaker Monirul Haque Akash’s film “The University of Chankharpul.” The film also won the Best Screenplay award. The festival concluded on Sunday evening with the award ceremony.

The final day opens at 10:00am with Belal Ahmed’s feature film “Noyoner Alo”. At 12:30pm, Kazi Hayat’s politically charged film “Dhor” is scheduled for screening, remembered particularly for the late actor Manna’s performance and its depiction of the social and political tensions of its time.
