#IllWalkWithYou

Once again, another hate-attack has worried people throughout the world. Bangladeshi Imam, Alauddin Akonjee, 55, and his assistant and brother-in-law, Thara Uddin, 65, were  dressed in Muslim garb when the killer “approached from behind and shot them in the head” from point-blank range just one block from the Al-Furqan Jame Masjid in Ozone Park after Saturday afternoon prayers, New York Daily News reported. People have now begun suggesting escorting imams and other muslims while on the road to ensure their safety- and the hashtag they're using is #IllWalkWithYou.

Rio Olympics 2016

It has been a while since the beginning of this year's Olympics, and it is still all that people are talking about! All over social media, there are supporters showing off their nations pride- their prestigious Olympians. Bangladesh herself has 7 Olympians who have travelled to Rio for this year's games, and their fans and supporters are cheering them on all over Facebook and Twitter. Our favourite golfer, Siddikur Rahman carried our flag in the opening ceremony as Bangladesh's heart swelled with pride.

Month of Mourning

This is the 41st month of mourning for Bangladesh. On August 15, 1975, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was assassinated, and we lost the greatest leader of our time. While the generation that was lucky enough to have him alive, this year, the more younger generations are showing their love and respect for the man they grew up listening to heroic stories about, and it's all over their social media!
