Iranian Revolutionary Guard vows retaliation after Khamenei’s killing

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has warned that those responsible for the death of Iran’s supreme leader will not escape retaliation, while expressing profound grief over the loss.

In a reaction issued following the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the force said, “We have lost a great leader and we are mourning him.” 

The statement was published by Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency, underscoring the sense of national loss within Iran’s powerful military establishment.
