Govt projects constantly miss deadlines and need more money, time. Why?
The deadline for five projects was extended at the Ecnec meeting on April 19, and the cost of the projects jumped from Tk 3,105 crore to above Tk 6,000 crore.In our country, it appears that increasing the time limits for numerous government initiatives has become the practice.
Is this practice quite common? Are there similar issues in other countries? Why has this matter not been resolved in Bangladesh? Who will take the responsibility to pay for the excess cost and time?
