New Zealand coach Gary Stead is confident of having a fully fit squad when the team departs for the Caribbean for next month's Twenty20 World Cup with Finn Allen and Devon Conway making good progress in their recovery from injuries.

Eight-time Olympic champion and cricket fan Usain Bolt is backing his home team West Indies to become the first nation to win a hattrick of T20 World Cup titles when the tournament kicks off next month.

“In T20 Cricket, yes, batting order will be changing. That's just normal cricket," said the Bangladesh head coach.

Bangladesh’s chairman of the selection committee Gazi Ashraf Lipu said star bowler Taskin Ahmed’s inclusion in the 15-member T20 World Cup squad was based on his tentative recovery ‘at some point’ in the major tournament.  

“We had formed a team in light of the BPL, and we didn’t deviate a lot from that squad. Saifuddin is the only player from the squad we had submitted on the 30th who didn’t make it in the final cut.”

Pathirana hurt his hamstring during a stint with the Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing Indian Premier League and was sent home to Sri Lanka to recover ahead of the start of the T20 World Cup on June 1.
