After a prolonged time spent with the national squad, Yasir Ali Chowdhury finally earned his much-awaited Test debut for Bangladesh in the first of the two-match Test series against Pakistan. And as the match was staged at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, Yasir had the opportunity to make a dream start in Test cricket at his hometown.

Saif Hassan has been ruled out of the second Test against Pakistan, starting from December 4 in Mirpur, as well as from the tour of New Zealand as the young Bangladesh opener was diagnosed with typhoid.

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and pacer Taskin Ahmed returned to the Test squad after recovering from injuries as the Minhajul Abedin-led selection panel of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced an extended squad today for the second Test against Pakistan, starting from December 4 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.

Taijul Islam took seven wickets for 116 runs in 44.4 overs as Pakistan were bowled out for 286 in their first innings at tea on the third day of the Chattogram Test against Bangladesh on Sunday.

Pakistan lost four wickets in the morning session of the third day of the Chattogram Test, adding 58 runs to the overnight total with all four wickets taken by spinners.

Liton Das capitalised on the stroke of luck after being dropped on 67 to notch his maiden Test ton. Before that dropped catch, there was hardly any rash shots.
