The decisive moment came in the second half at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur, when Shamsunnahar struck a powerful left-footed long-range shot from a tight angle to beat Army goalkeeper Mili Akter.

Following the goal, Army were reduced to ten players after a red card and were unable to mount a comeback.

Asked whether the goal was the best of the season, Shamsunnahar said: “Not just in the league, even at national level, most of my goals come from headers, which I enjoy the most. But since this was a difficult match and I scored this goal, I would call it my best. Winning Player of the Match in all five games makes it even more special.”
