Masura, Rupna given permission to play in Bhutan

Star Sports Report

Masura Parvin and Rupna Chakma, two of the 18 senior players of the national team who boycotted camp under coach Peter Butler, have been provided NOCs to play in the Bhutanese women's football league.

Bangladesh Football Federation's vice-president Fahad Karim disclosed the development to the media.

"A club has reached an advanced stage in discussion with Masura (Parvin) and Rupna (Chakma). We have given them NOCs. BFF GS is in contact with Bhutan FA," Karim told Channel 24 TV.

"They are contacting a few other players. We don't have any issues allowing the players to play outside the country," Karim added.

It has been learnt that Transport United had approached the defender Masura and goalkeeper Rupna a few months ago, but the BFF did not allow them NOCs at that time.

The women's team camp is closed now due to an extended Eid vacation. The 18 senior players, including Masura and Rupna, are not part of contracts with BFF yet. The game's local governing body recently signed contracts with 36 players who were not part of the boycott and trained under Peter Butler.
