Former footballer Bikash Chowdhury passes away

Former footballer and freedom fighter Bikash Chowdhury passed away at 8:00am today at the Monno Medical College in Manikganj due to complications post-Covid. He was 68. 

Bikash, father of journalist Deb Chowdhury, left behind his wife, son and a number of well-wishers to mourn. 

Bikash made a name for himself by playing football for Wari Club Dhaka in the 1970s.
