Bangladesh finish sixth

Both Bangladesh men’s and women's teams have finished sixth in the AHF U-18 Asia Cup after losing their respective place-deciding matches in Japan.

The men’s team lost against South Korea 2-1 on Friday despite taking a 36th-minute lead through a field goal from Ismail Hosen.

However, the lead lasted only six minutes as Korea equalised from a penalty corner before scoring the winning goal from open play six further minutes later.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh women's team had lost to Malaysia 4-0 in the place-deciding match on Thursday.
