Tigers' batting consultant Prince unavailable for Aus T20s
Bangladesh will not be getting the services of batting consultant Ashwell Prince in their upcoming five-match T20I series against Australia next month.
Prince, who was appointed as Tigers' batting consultant for the recently-concluded Zimbabwe tour, headed back to South Africa instead of accompanying the Bangladesh team who are already on their way to Dhaka from Harare.
It was learned that the former South Africa batsman went back to his country to sort out his coaching commitments with the South Africa A team.
"Price went to South Africa after the Zimbabwe series. And we won't be getting him during our home series against Australia [next month]. Earlier, we had mentioned our intention of having Prince as Tigers' batting consultant at least till the next T20 World Cup. However, anything in this regard will be confirmed in the next six to seven days," informed BCB cricket operations committee chairman Akram Khan today.
Earlier, Akram had mentioned that Prince would 'certainly' stay as Tigers' batting consultant at least till the next T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in UAE in October-November this year.
