Two International Cricket Council (ICC) Board representatives -- Dr Mohammed Moosajee of Cricket South Africa and Tavengwa Mukuhlani of Zimbabwe Cricket -- arrived in Dhaka on Monday to engage with stakeholders over developments in Bangladesh cricket, particularly the Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) electoral process.

A BCB official confirmed the development to The Daily Star, saying the delegation is expected to meet relevant stakeholders involved in the election process and gather information to brief the ICC Board.

The election for the BCB Board of Directors is scheduled to take place on June 7.

At least eight councillors have already been elected unopposed as directors ahead of the polls. Voting will be held in the Khulna and Barishal divisions, as well as in Category-2, which represents the clubs.

Earlier, the National Sports Council (NSC) dissolved the Aminul Islam Bulbul-led board on April 7 based on the findings of a five-member probe committee. The move was taken under Section 21 of the NSC's 2018 policy, which allows action against any sports body under its jurisdiction if irregularities are proven.

On the same day, the NSC appointed former national captain Tamim Iqbal as head of an 11-member ad hoc committee.
