Allen, Grandhomme arrive early in Dhaka for NZ-BD T20s

Star Sports Report

As expected, two New Zealand cricketers -- Finn Allen and Colin de Grandhomme -- arrived in Dhaka today, four days ahead of the scheduled arrival of the Kiwis' squad for their upcoming five-match T20I series against Bangladesh, starting from September 1.

Both Allen and De Grandhomme landed in Dhaka today morning and are already in quarantine at a hotel in the capital. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had earlier informed of the early arrival of these Kiwi players, who were playing The Hundred in England.

Allen represented Birmingham Phoenix while Grandhomme played for Southern Brave in the ongoing Hundred. Allen's team Phoenix have already made it to Saturday's final of the tournament where they will play the winner of today's eliminator between Southern Brave and Trent Rockets.

Meanwhile, the rest of the New Zealand squad are scheduled to arrive in the country on August 24 and will undergo a three-day quarantine before playing the first T20I on September 1 in Mirpur.

The New Zealand Cricket (NZC) had already sent three delegates to the country last Tuesday to assess the conditions and the bio-secure bubble arrangements for the upcoming series.
