BPL Points Table: Comilla remain top after Chittagong phase

Comilla Victorians remain top of the BPL rankings after the end of the Chittagong phase.

The Victorians started with a defeat against Sylhet Sixers in their opening fixture but have notched up seven wins, their only other defeat came against Darren Sammy's Rajshahi Kings.  Comilla have so far managed to win their matches against the other top three teams in the table.  Tamim Iqbal's team went top of the BPL standings after their victory over Shakib Al Hasan's Dhaka Dynamites yesterday. They were also at the top of the table at the end of the Dhaka phase.

Sylhet Sixers, who defeated table-toppers Comilla, were in fantastic form during the Sylhet phase of the tournament. They won all three of their first three fixtures but the tides changed considerably as Sylhet lost all their matches since their 33-run victory against Rajshahi.

Mahmudullah Riyad's Khulna Titans started the tournament with two wins and two defeats from their opening four fixtures. Khulna however gathered momentum and consistency as they notched up five victories on the trot to become the first team to make the play-off round.

Dhaka Dynamites are in third position with 11 points from 10 matches while Mashrafe Bin Mortaza's Rangpur Riders are in fourth with 10 points from nine matches.

The bottom three sides have eight, seven and five points respectively, which means that Comilla and Khulna, who have 14 and 13 points respectively have made it to the play-off round. Fifth-placed Rajshahi Kings, who have eight points from 10 matches have an outside chance of making it to the play-off rounds provided they win both their games and Rangpur and Dhaka Dynamites fail to win their remaining matches.

The BPL will return with the Dhaka phase on December 2.
