Some Lost Dreams
On a gentle afternoon in the month of Agrahayan,
Spellbound, I was watching the blue sky of late autumn.
I was sipping a cup of hot tea
Sitting on the easy chair of the verandah.
Suddenly, a strange silence enshrouded me.
An uncomfortable feeling cropped up in my mind.
But still, I started to create a cobweb of beautiful dreams
In that empty silence.
My heart transformed into a mayurpankhi boat
Which was floating on the surface of my heart's river.
That river was shining like a diamond ring.
There were dense forests on the banks of my heart's river,
Filled with greens.
Even amongst the dense greenery, I clearly saw,
Little flowers were swaying in the seasonal wind
And dreaming.
Amongst the dense bushes,
I think I saw a chitra deer.
It felt as if she was running after her dreams as well.
In her eyes,
I could see the desire of fulfilling those dreams.
In the colourful sky of my heart,
A number of birds were flying.
It felt as if
They were submerged in their own thoughts.
At last, when twilight came,
The aura of my dreams faded away.
Then began
The game of light and darkness.
All my dreams joined together
And taking the shape of a fairy,
They flew away in the evening sky
And got lost.
Yes. My late autumn dreams were lost.
They were lost for eternity.
