Scholastica Interschool Volleyball Tournament 2015

The annual Scholastica Interschool Volleyball Tournament took place this year from September 10 to 12. 

With Aga Khan School, Bangladesh International Tutorial (BIT), SFX Green Herald, South Breeze, Mastermind, Sunnydale, American International School Dhaka (AISD), Sunbeams, Grace International School, International School Dhaka (ISD), Viqarunnisa Noon School and the hosts, Scholastica, fighting it out in both boys' and girls' categories, the tournament kicked off with the BIT girls facing Scholastica, with the latter prevailing victorious.

The tournament was well-organised with the volunteers and organisers helping out the spectators and participants. SIVT had its moments with the players giving their hearts out for their teams. One such memorable match was between AISD-A and Mastermind. It was a David versus Goliath match and although AISD won the match in both sets, the second set was breathtaking as both teams gave their best with AISD winning by a hair's margin at 25-23. 

At the end of it all, Scholastica and AISD remained as the finalists in both categories. The girls' final was indeed awe-inspiring – AISD Tigers won the first set (25-17); the second set saw the Scholastica girls fight back but their valiant efforts were not good enough as they fell short by losing out (27-25).

The boys' final saw AISD defending their trophy against the hosts. AISD won the first set (21-25) and the pressure fell on the hosts. But they kept their composure by winning the second set (25-19). In the deciding set, Scholastica won (15-10) and after two years, crushed AISD's winning streak and emerged champions.
