Politics of Corpses

Another terrorist attack. Scores dead. Because corpses are more valuable in this world than lives. Corpses help shape opinions. Corpses justify further piles of corpses. In this vicious cycle of violence some corpses are seemingly more important than others.

Some corpses induce global rage, while some fail to get acknowledgement outside a village/city/country. Folks are chastised for mourning some deaths and not others.

Lines are drawn based on the colour of your skin, your nationality, your creed, political ideologies. Because “You are either with us or against us.” Because apparently, you cannot have peace without war.

Yes. The politics of corpses is a grave business. Shed your tears wisely.
