ULAB clinches title of 11th ULAB Fair Play Cup

The final match of the 11th ULAB Fair Play Cup Inter Private University Cricket Tournament was held on March 29, 2018 at the ULAB Play Ground at Mohammadpur. University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) faced Bangladesh University (BU) in the final match. 

ULAB won the toss and decided to field first. BU scored 118 runs spending all wickets in 19.5 overs. In return, ULAB scored 119 runs spending only 3 wickets. Arifur Rahman of ULAB bagged 3 wickets spending 20 runs in his 4 overs and became Man of the Match. 

In the prize-giving ceremony, Md. Sohorab Hossain, Secretary, Ministry of Education, was present as chief guest and Selector, Bangladesh National Cricket Team and former Captain, Bangladesh National Cricket Team  Habibul Bashar was present as the special guest.  Special Advisor to the ULAB BOT Prof. Imran Rahman delivered the welcome speech and ULAB Treasurer Milan Kumar Bhattacharjee gave a vote of thanks. Al Rashed, Marketing Manager, Gazi Group was also present.

The objective of the ULAB Fair Play Cup is to establish good relations among private universities and to create an atmosphere of enjoyment and fairness in competition. The champion team received BDT 50,000 and earned the opportunity to participate in the Red Bull Campus Cricket World Final Tournament.
