Norway delegates meet Khaleda

UK lawmaker likely to meet her later in the evening

A parliamentarian delegation from Norway today met BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan office in Dhaka.

The Norway team, led by its Chairperson Kenneth Svendsen, met Khaleda around 5:30pm, Syrul Kabir Khan, an official of BN chief’s press wing, told The Daily Star in the evening.

Details of the meeting were not disclosed immediately.

Meanwhile, a lawmaker from the United Kingdom is likely to meet Khaleda around 9:30pm, Syrul said.

The schedule was made today as the delegations are visiting here to take part a five-day conference of world parliamentarians in Dhaka.

The mega conference which was organised jointly by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad kicked off on Saturday promising to focus on ways and means to end political and economic inequality for upholding democracy and human rights.
