No indication to narrow gap between rich and poor: Workers Party

Workers Party of Bangladesh today expressed its concern whether the common people will be benefited by the proposed national budget for FY 2017-18.

“Disparities between rich and poor and, rural and urban areas have been widening. But there is no indication in the proposed budget to narrow the gap,” the party said in a statement.

Politburo members of the party, a component of Awami League led 14-party ruling alliance, issued the statement, a day after finance minister AMA Muhith unveiled Tk 4,00,266 crore proposed budget for the fiscal 2017-18.
