BNP announces countrywide demo tomorrow protesting raid

BNP will stage a demonstration across the country tomorrow protesting today’s police raid at its party chief’s Gulshan office in Dhaka.

Countrywide agitation rallies will be organised, Rizvi Ahmed, joint secretary general of the party, told journalists while speaking at a programme at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) this afternoon.

Police in the morning conducted a raid for one and a half hours starting at 8:30am, said Sayrul Kabir Khan, a staff of BNP chief's media wing.

Earlier, Rizvi told journalists in Gulshan that the raid is a part of the government’s conspiracy against the party.
