Khaleda convenes policy-making meet
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has convened a meeting of the party’s highest policymaking body, the standing committee, for this evening.
The meeting is scheduled for 8:30pm, to be held at Khaleda’s Gulshan office, Syrul Kabir Khan, a staff of the BNP chief’s media wing, told The Daily Star.
Party insiders said talks will be held over Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s India trip, where Dhaka and Delhi signed a various number of instruments and deals.
BNP, the prime political opposition, has termed those deals tantamount to “selling out the country” and strongly criticised the government for it.
