Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today termed BNP as an unpredictable political party and called upon his party men not to be anxious over its political move.

“BNP is now behaving like a reckless driver and nobody knows what it actually occurs,” Quader said while addressing a function in Panchlaish area of Chittagong this afternoon.

Claiming that BNP has failed in waging movement even in election, Quader said the party is now floating in the tide of victory after winning in the mayoral race in Comilla City Corporation election.

“It seems to me that BNP has won the entire country,” said Quader, also the transport and bridges minister.

About Bangladesh Chhatra League, Quader warned his party’s student front leaders and activists not to be the headline of newspapers for their misdeeds and mismanagements.

“No one will be spared if the government’s achievement and image are tarnished due to wrongdoings of the Chhatra League leaders and activists,” Quader sounded a note of caution.

He also asked his party’s rank and file not to use the Chhatra League men as safeguards for their own interest.

He said the leaders, who are engaged in fueling intra-party conflict, will not get the party’s nomination in the upcoming general election expected to be held in 2019.

Quader was addressing Awami League’s Chittagong district (north) unit council at a community center there.
