Khaleda condemns ‘cop intervention’ in Rob’s residence meeting
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today strongly condemned law enforcers’ alleged intervention in a meeting at Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD-Rob) President ASM Abdur Rob’s Uttara residence on Thursday night.
“The police intervention in the meeting of civil and political leaders at ASM Abdur Rob’s residence has yet again proved the inhumane and anti-public nature of the state at present,” Khaleda said in a press release.

Khaleda also said that she found no words to condemn the way these meetings are being disrupted through police intervention or in some cases by carrying out attacks.
On the night of Thursday (July 13), law enforcers allegedly tried to disrupt a meeting at Rob's Uttara residence.
Leaders of several political parties met to discuss the launching of a political platform ahead of the next general election which is due in late 2018 or early 2019.
However, Rob said it was an informal gathering after Eid and alleged that police tried to prevent them from gathering, citing “instructions from the higher authorities”.
