Be careful about your party men, BNP tells PM

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Rizvi Ahmed today called up Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to be careful about the people around her.

“Prime Minister has realised that Awami league leaders were involved in the assassination of August 15, 1975. So, she (Hasina) should be alert about the people around her without blaming others,” Rizvi made the call while addressing a press briefing at the party’s Nayapaltan headquarters.

Rizvi also urged the government to “restore democracy and people’s voting rights” through handing over power to a neutral government for the sake of holding the next general election in a free and fair manner.

Regarding the yesterday’s statement of PM that BNP founder Ziaur Rahman barred Hasina on her way to return home in Many 17, 1981, Rizvi said, “How did you enter the country though Ziaur Rahman was in power at that time?”

“Rather Ziaur Rahman was met the tragic end of his life after 13 days of your (Hasina) arrival,” he said.
