Govt paves path for picking people’s pocket: Fakhrul
The government has paved the path of picking people’s pocket by imposing the excessive burden of tax on them, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said today.
The BNP leader also came down heavily on the government for imposing 15 percent uniform VAT in the proposed budget for next fiscal and said a huge burden of VAT has been imposed on the whole nation.
“We have been tied with tax network. The government will pick people’s pocket and will fill up own pocket by imposing the VAT,” he said.
He was addressing a programme organised by Zia Smriti Pathagar at the party’s Nayapaltan central office in Dhaka this noon.
