Bangladesh VAT Bar Association formed

Value Added Tax professionals in the country have formed an organisation -- Bangladesh VAT Bar Association.

The association was formed as per decision adopted at a meeting held on September 1 this year, it said in a press release.

Advocate Md Noorul Azhar and VAT Consultant Md Hafijur Rahman have been elected as president and general secretary of its nine-member executive committee. The elected members were elected for three years' term.

"It aims to play an epoch-making role for uplifting the business index of Bangabandhu's Bangladesh globally," it said adding that their head office is located in Dhaka.
