Office hours during Ramadan
Government office hours during the month of Ramadan have been fixed from 9:00am to 3:30pm, with a 15-minute break from 1:15pm to 1:30pm.
The decision is applicable for all government, semi-government and autonomous offices.
The decision was taken in the weekly meeting of the cabinet held at the cabinet room of the Sangsad Bhaban with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan said, the Supreme Court will decide its office time during the month of Ramadan while private organisations will also take decisions on their own.
Mosharraf Hossain said Monday’s cabinet in principle approved the draft of Investment Corporation, Bangladesh (ICB) Act - 2013 which proposed for reevaluating share price of ICB certificates at Tk 10 from existing Tk 100.
The draft along with other proposals recommended for raising the authorised capital of the ICB to Tk 1,000 crore from present Tk 100 crore.
The cabinet also okayed the draft of the National Agriculture Policy 2013 aimed at making it befitting to the time through incorporating all international regulations and provisions.
The draft has been prepared to address the difficulties of production, processing, marketing as well as employment in the agriculture sector, the cabinet sectary said.
The cabinet was informed about the participation of the prime minister in the Asia Pacific Water Summit in Chiang Mai, Thailand on May 19-20 last.
The meeting was also informed about the visit of the information minister to India from April 10 to 13, 2013.
