Govt to announce new pay scale in budget

The government is going to announce the new national pay commission in the next budget, in a bid to narrow the gap between the salaries of private and government officials, Finance Minister AMA Muhith said on Sunday.
The government however has no plan to provide dearness allowance right now, the minister said while talking to reporters after a meeting of the cabinet committee on economic affairs at Cabinet Division.
About the 6.03% GDP growth rate in fiscal year 2013, estimated by the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistic's (BBS's), the finance minister said this year's GDP growth rate would be higher than the estimated one.
He also added that the final GDP growth was 6.32% in the last year and this year it is expected to achieve more.
