Man shot dead in capital

A man was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in the old part of the capital Tuesday. Noushad Hossain, 35, was a resident of Lalbagh area. Md Shah Alam, officer-in-charge of Kotowali Police Station, told The Daily Star that Nousad was shot when he was staying inside a shop of his bother-in-law in Nolgola area around 5:0pm. Doctors declared him dead when he was taken to Mitford Hospital. Police are yet to know the reason behind the killing.
