Aminul Islam describes disputes as an 'internal family matter'

Md Aminul Islam, chief prosecutor of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT), has said that the ongoing counter-allegations among prosecutors will not disrupt the trial proceedings.

He made the remarks at a press briefing today at his office in Dhaka, following reports of disputes between members of the prosecution team.

Aminul Islam said the trial process would continue unaffected as long as he remains in office.

“I have not learned to compromise. No innocent person will face even the slightest harassment through me, and no offender should think they will get away,” he told reporters.

“This is our internal family matter,” he said. “Many things can happen within a family, but that does not mean the family stops functioning.”
