A man died yesterday, while homes were destroyed as nor’westers, hailstorms and thunderstorms hit Joypurhat, Thakurgaon and Nilphamari on Friday night.

A girl was killed and 15 people were injured as nor’westers lashed Parbatipur, Nawabganj and Birampur upazilas of Dinajpur and sadar upazila of Lalmonirhat Tuesday night.

After Chhayar Haor in Sunamganj’s Derai upazila, Halir Haor in Jamalganj upazila is next in line to be submerged, as the dyke in Ahsanmara area in the upazila got damaged on Monday night.
