The rate of success in the HSC examinations dropped to 84.31 percent last year from a record 95.57 percent in 2021.

"This is the digital era; you have to keep your eyes on this. If you do that, you will get more opportunities in the job market," Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said on the occasion of publishing Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exam results at her office.

Pass rate of technical board stood at 94.41 percent while madrassa board 92.56 percent.

The number is 10 times higher than that in the previous year's HSC and equivalent examinations. In the 2021 HSC and equivalent examinations, only five educational institutions around the country had zero pass rate.

Among them, 87.48% girls and 84.53% boys passed the exams.
