Duronto TV unveils lineup for latest season
Duronto TV is set to launch its 34th season, bringing with it a vibrant mix of new programmes, popular animated series and returning favourites for young audiences.
The new season will feature the quiz show “Duronto Medhabi” alongside a host of internationally loved cartoons, including “Ziggy and the Zootram”, “Vic the Viking”, “Heidi”, “Tree Fu Tom”, “Big & Small”, “Mia and Me”, “The Smurfs”, “PINY Institute of New York”, “Coconut, the Little Dragon”, “Maya the Bee” and “Lassie”.

The line-up also includes drama series such as “Elating Belating”, puppet shows like “Bornomalar Ghor” and “Obak Kora Gachher Deshe”, and regular programmes including “Kattus Kuttus”, “Duronto Shomoy” and “Duronto Shastho Duronto Mon”. In addition, the Duronto Cinema slot will showcase a variety of popular local and international films.
Duronto Medhabi
A brand-new quiz show, “Duronto Medhabi”, is making its debut on Duronto TV. Featuring talented children selected from across the country, the programme spans 26 engaging episodes.
Contestants face five challenging rounds, each consisting of three questions designed to test intelligence, logic and problem-solving skills. Winners advance to the next round and receive attractive prizes, with the ultimate highlight being the mega prize. To claim it, contestants must take on the final ‘high-risk’ round. Beyond the quiz challenges, the show also offers glimpses into the fun and inspiring personal stories of the participants.
Directed by Jamal Hossain Abir and hosted by Partha Pratim Halder, “Duronto Medhabi” will air from January 30, every Friday and Saturday at 12 noon and 9 pm.

Bornomalar Ghor
The much-loved puppet series “Bornomalar Ghor” is returning to Duronto TV. Centred around a puppet family and the people around them, the series introduces children to the Bengali alphabet through everyday stories and situations. The show blends storytelling with playful songs about letters, animation and creative origami using alphabets.
Alongside the puppets, the series features performances by Syed Hasan Imam, Chitralekha Guha, Ananda Khaled, Anwarul Alam Sajal and Roksana Ruma. Directed by Partha Pratim Halder and Jamal Hossain Abir, “Bornomalar Ghor” will air from January 25, Sunday to Thursday at 1:30 pm and 9:30 pm.
Mia and Me
“Mia and Me” follows the adventures of a teenage girl named Mia, who receives a magical storybook and a bracelet from her father on her birthday. Through the book, she discovers the fairy kingdom of Centopia, and with the help of the bracelet, she can travel there herself. In Centopia, Mia befriends Phuddle, Yuko and Prince Mo, while facing the mischief of the wicked witch Gargona. The animated series chronicles Mia’s fantastical and adventurous journeys in this enchanting world.
“Mia and Me” will begin airing from January 25, Sunday to Thursday at 2 pm and 7:30 pm.

PINY Institute of New York
Fourteen-year-old Michelle dreams of becoming a fashion designer from a very young age. Her dream takes a step closer to reality when she receives a scholarship offer from the prestigious “PINY Institute of New York”. After enrolling at the renowned fashion institute, Michelle makes new friends but also faces hostility from a group of jealous classmates who constantly try to sabotage her work. Using her intelligence, talent and courage, Michelle overcomes every obstacle and proves herself.
The animated series “PINY Institute of New York” revolves around Michelle and her friends and their lively experiences at the institute. Voice direction has been provided by Sajjad Rajib. The series will air from January 30, every Friday and Saturday at 9 am and 5 pm.

Duronto Shomoy – Season 3
The popular programme “Duronto Shomoy” returns with its third season, introducing exciting new ways to encourage physical activity. The show begins with a fun exercise session featuring participants of all ages. Set to rhymes and songs, the routines are simple, lively and include child-friendly yoga.
Between exercise segments, viewers will also enjoy feature segments on crafts, easy drawing techniques and mask-making. Each episode includes a guest who shares entertaining stories, some of which are brought to life through performances by children themselves.
Directed by Partha Pratim Halder and Jamal Hossain Abir, “Duronto Shomoy – Season 3” will air from January 25, Sunday to Thursday at 8 am and 9 pm.
