Police yesterday arrested Biman Bangladesh Airlines Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Md Shafiqur Rahman and his wife in a case filed over the abuse of an 11-year-old domestic worker.

A special court yesterday sentenced deposed prime minister Sheikh Hasina to 10 years’ imprisonment and her niece, British MP Tulip Siddiq, to four years in two cases involving the Purbachal plot scam in Dhaka.
