23 bikers fined Tk 71,000 for violating rules on Padma Bridge

Police yesterday fined 23 motorcyclists Tk 71,000 for violating rules while crossing the Padma Bridge.

The fine was imposed for violations committed by the bikers between morning and evening yesterday, said Amirul Haider Chowdhury, additional director (Padma Bridge Site Office) of Bangladesh Bridge Authority.

He said the bikers violated various rules such as changing lanes, parking illegally and taking selfies on the bridge, reports our Munshiganj correspondent.

Munshiganj Traffic Police Inspector (Finance and Administration) Bazlur Rahman said of the 23 motorcyclists, 22 were fined Tk 3,000 each and one Tk 5,000.
