Sarjis Alam leads leaflet distribution for 7-point demand in Narsingdi
Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement coordinator Sarjis Alam, alongside Jatiya Nagorik Committee leaders and activists, today distributed leaflets in Shibpur, Narsingdi.
The leaflets called for the announcement of the July Declaration, which includes a seven-point demand.
The leaflet distribution began at Itakhola intersection on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway near Shibpur upazila.
The program, organised by the Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement and Jatiya Nagorik Committee, saw active participation from the guardians of martyrs' families and the injured from the anti-discrimination movement, along with people from various professions.
Sarjis said, "We have set a 15-day deadline for the government to announce the July Declaration, which includes seven logical demands: state recognition for the July martyrs, government-funded treatment for the injured, trial of the Awami killers and collaborators, and clear acknowledgement of the leadership of the anti-discrimination student movement."
He expressed hope that the state would implement the declaration promptly. The leaflet distribution continued throughout the day.
