Engineer dies after falling from InterContinental Dhaka rooftop

An engineer died after falling from the rooftop of InterContinental Dhaka hotel this afternoon.

The deceased was primarily identified as Subrata Saha, (53) an official of the hotel's engineering section, said Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Ramna Police Station.

"We came to know that he died after falling from the rooftop. We will investigate whether it is a case of suicide or accidental death," the OC said.

On information, police rushed to the spot around 12:30pm and recovered the body.

Police will send the body to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy after collection of evidence by crime scene unit of CID.
