DNCC removes revenue supervisor for corruption

Dhaka North City corporation (DNCC) today removed its zone-10 revenue supervisor Mohammad Abbas Ali for financial irregularities and corruption.

As per rules concerned, he will get 90 days salary and he was asked to meet with the accounts department of the DNCC in this regard.

Abbas, whose original post as an office assistance-cum-computer operator confessed about providing illegal facilities to consumers by taking illegal benefits, which was recorded in a video footage in a mass media, said a press release.

The explanation which was sought by the zonal executive officer was not satisfactory, it added.
