Verdict in PK Halder graft case on Oct 8

A Dhaka court yesterday set October 8 to deliver the verdict in a case filed against former managing director of NRB Global Bank Proshanta Kumar Halder, known as PK Halder, and 13 others over the laundering of Tk 80 crore to Canada and amassing about Tk 426 crore illegally.

After closing arguments, Judge Mohammad Nazrul Islam of Dhaka's Special Judge Court-10 set the date for delivery of judgment in the case.

PK Halder, the prime accused of the case, was arrested in Ashoknagar, India, on May 14 last year.
