Student stabbed in N’ganj dies

A college student, who was stabbed in Narayanganj on Friday night, died at a clinic in the capital yesterday.

Mabia Begum, mother of Mahfuz Ahmed, 20, a first-year student of Narayanganj College, said some of his friends took him out of his home in Narayanganj city's Khanpur Baubazar area around 9:00pm on Friday. Later, he was stabbed in Patharghat area.

Shah Jaman, officer-in-charge Narayanganj Sadar Police Station, said they detained three youths for questioning.

Police suspect the youths stabbed the victim over a feud. "We are investigating the matter."
