Man’s wrists cut off by neighbour’s relatives
A young man's wrists were cut off by his neighbour's relatives in Narsingdi's Polash upazila yesterday.
Victim Hadiul Alam, 23, a local sweet shop employee, told reporters from hospital that 15 days ago, he got into an argument with his neighbour Bristy over a trivial matter.
After that, Bristy's relative Jalal Mia offered Hadiul a job and had been inviting him to his house. "I went to his house in Noakanda area yesterday [on Monday].
"At one point, Jalal and his nephew Sazzad Hossain took me to a banana orchard and cut both my wrists off."
After locals alerted them, police rescued him and took him to Narsingdi District Hospital for treatment.
Ilias Hossain, OC of Shibpur Police Station, said, "Jalal is an absconding convict in different robbery cases. If the victim files a written complaint, we will take proper action."
