Journo found dead at Hatirjheel home: Husband sued for abetting suicide

The husband of the journalist, whose body was recovered on Tuesday night from her Hatirjheel home, was sued yesterday for abetting her to die by suicide.

Victim Shobnom Sharmin's elder sister Shobnom Parvin filed the case against Saidul Islam with Hatirjheel Police Station.

Saidul, also a journalist of a TV, is on the run.

Abdur Rashid, officer-in-charge of Hatirjheel Police Station, told The Daily Star that they were trying to arrest the accused.

He added that Sharmin, an assignment editor of online news portal "The Report", got married to Saidul around one and a half years ago.
