Investigators get 90th time extension to probe Sagar-Runi murder

Investigators in the Sagar-Runi murder case were given the 90th extension to complete the probe in the case yesterday.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debdash Chandra Adhikary asked Rab to submit the probe report by August 24 after Rab's Additional Superintendent Khondoker Md Shafiqul Alam, also the investigation officer, failed to submit the report yesterday, court sources said.

After Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police and the Detective Branch of police, Rab was tasked with the probe on April 18, 2012.

Sagar, news editor of Maasranga, and his wife Runi, a senior reporter at ATN Bangla, were killed in the early hours of February 11, 2012 in their home in the capital's West Razabazar.
