Case filed against man for raping school student in Bandarban

A case has been filed against a man for allegedly raping a school student in Bandarban's Rowangchhari upazila.

The victim's father filed the case today in Rowangchhari Police Station accusing Pradip Kumar Chakma (40), unit manager of Brac, reports our correspondent quoting Towheed Kabir, officer-in-charge of the police station.

On August 15, Pradip allegedly raped the girl at her relative's house, said the OC, adding that "We are trying to arrest the accused."

Mosharaf Hossain, area manager of Brac in Bandarban district, said, "We suspended Pradip primarily from Brac, following the allegation of rape."
