Bodies of husband, wife found in Ashulia home

Police recovered the bodies of a couple from a room of a rented house in Ashulia, Savar.

The deceased were identified as Md Tutul and his wife Maria Khatun.

The bodies were recovered from a room of the house owned by Alamgir Hossain of Pallibidyut area in ​​Ashulia around 7:30 pm today, reports our correspondent quoting police.

Ashulia Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI), Shafiullah Sikder, said that being informed by locals, police recovered the couple's bodies, found hanging in the room.

The bodies will be sent to morgue for autopsy, the SI added.

Badal Ali, father of deceased Maria Khatun, told the Daily Star that his daughter had gone missing from their home on June 22.

After that incident, he had filed a GD with Alfadanga Police Station. For a few days, Tutul worked as a mason at his home, he said.
