3 cops injured in drug peddlers’ attack

Three police members, including a sub-inspector, were injured as drug peddlers attacked them in Habiganj's Chunarughat on Thursday night.

They were undergoing treatment at different hospitals.

Locals said a team from Chunarughat Police Station went to Deundyi tea garden to nab drug peddlers, who attacked the police personnel.

Champak Dham, OC (investigation) of the police station, said six people were arrested for their alleged involvement in the incident.
