1.25kg gold seized at Chattogram airport

The Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directory seized 1.25kg gold and nine kg shisha at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram yesterday.

A team of CIID conducted a drive and held one Masud Rana, a passenger of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, for possessing the gold and shisha.

He came from the United Arab Emirate around 08:30am, said AKM Sultan Mahamud, deputy commissioner of CIID.

The seized gold bars would be deposited to the Bangladesh Bank exchequer and shisha handed over to customs, he added.
