Boy dies falling from roof

A five-year-old boy died after falling from the rooftop of a building in Dhaka's Uttar Jatrabari area yesterday afternoon.

The dead is Mohammad Bappi, son of Mohammad Swapan, a pick-up van driver.

Bappi was playing with other children on the rooftop of the two-storey building, with no railings, around 2:00pm. He fell from the rooftop and sustained critical injuries, Swapan said.

Bappi was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead, he said.
